I am going to take lessons so I will get better! I am going to try figure skating lessons, rather than Hockey. I was watching the really advance figure skaters yesterday and they go as fast as the hockey skaters only with more grace...that is for me!

Dark 30

Dark 30 is the time Mr. Eleven gets up to go fishing. He took this photo at his fishing tournament this past weekend. It was in NC at some lake I guess, I am kind of unclear on details. All I know is my Bronx boy came in 3rd place beating out lots of other fisher-guys. When he left at 1 am to begin his journey to NC, I ask what his strategy was, he said, ' they never work, I am just going to go have fun'. Isn't that the best straightedge of all?!
I am proud of him!

A lovely weekend to all!

I feel like Wonder Woman on ice...

When I am on the ice I feel like Wonder Woman! I have gone ice skating 4 times so far with Mr. Eleven. He has been coaching me and it's a lot of fun! We go during the day to the free skate session. At that time of day we are basically the only adults there on the ice. It is about 80% little girls in colorful tights, a few little boys and a smattering of other folks. Yesterday they played Disney Radio over the loud speaker, but sometimes it is classic rock. I skate best to AC/DC!
The little girls are fun to watch, they have no fear, tons of confidence and look like little fairies on the ice. Mr.Eleven and I are Hockey skaters, but I would love to dress up like the little figuar skaters!....especally the tights that go over the skates!...some even wear tou-tous!
I fell twice yesterday, once on my ass, splat!..and once face first, at least I didn't land on a kid! The best part about falling is finding it isn't as scary as the fear of falling.
I said I feel like Wonder Woman, but I don't skate like her, yet! It may take a while but, I am getting better each time. I will take some photos to share next time we go...

I took this during a break form cleaning out our pond. There is some algae on my legs and Spring time pollen in the air (you can actually see it in the air). I was seeing green, feeling green and cleaning green.

I did a little indulgent photo shoot of my Bleeding heart flower this weekend. Truman hung out by the pond and enjoyed the Spring weather (see more photos by clicking on photo).
The Bleeding Hearts were here in the yard by the pond when we moved here. I remember them also growing on the side of my Grandmas front yard, near the porch, when I was a kid. We would sit on the big ol metal Glider and eat watermelon, spitting seeds off the porch, from the glider where we sat. The Bleeding hearts dancing in the breeze....

I predict Bleeding hearts in BeeMan Land, soon.
