The vet called me first thing yesterday morning to tell me that Bella's biopsy came back and there are no more cancer cells! She had Mast Cell Cancer, the vet successfully cut it out! Yay! Truman is feeling much better now that her dead tail end fell off...she is sleeker and prettier than ever! I left the tail end in the yard on a bench. I was considering using it as a real Reliquary object. But by day 3, something took it away. I think it was a flying squirrel, they like to collect all sorts of precious objects to line their home nests. But that is just a speculation.

These guys are just starting to take shape. They are incorporating reliquary objects like the Hadad's,Vernor's summer bottle. I don't have much to say about them yet. It has been so incredibly hot! As a by product of the triple digit temps our heat pump has been running non stop. Last year I hooked a PVC pipe to the condensation run off from the heat pump. A word of warning, do not leave your paper mache unattended in the presence of a Pug!--Bella!! I am adding a paper mache layer to the Monkey Bowl and got up to rinse my hands off. Truman has been thriving in the hot weather. Each day I place her in the garden, she relaxes and enjoys her day. If she feels ambitious she will stroll over to the tomato plants to nibble on the tasty leaves. But mostly she finds a good leafy plant to take a nap under and doesn't do much moving at all. I have to laugh at myself for talking up how I was going to go bold and Pop with my color and then the first thing I do is turn to grey! Love, play, sleep, that's what the kids do, eat, poop and repeat. I can see Frankenstein's round head in the Thinking Monkey sculpture. His perfectly rounded shapes and delicate edges. I think the top photo of Bella needs to be a new sculpture. The twist of her body and weight on the pillow. Yesterday I got the tail added to the standing Monkey. It is peeking over his shoulder and balances his extended arm. The Hare got his two front teeth, courtesy of a broken Muscle shell. They will be more apparent once the Hare itself is painted. The thinking Monkey got his face. It will be further worked out but it gave him a lot of life immediately.Onward!

Frankenstein Friday is back! This photo was taken a few weeks back, they are taking a nap right now and I don't want to disturb the peace. I had a chance to stop by and check out the new show at the Eric Schindler gallery this weekend. Here are some photos of the work. Artist Scott Phillips solo exhibit of Acrylic paintings are a treat.
